Thinly-potted cup, everted exterior. Underglaze-blue designs include the Imperial 24 petaled crysanthemum crest (Kikumon). Unadorned interior of pristine white porcelain. Crafted for the Imperial Family by the prestigious Arita family, Tsuji Hitachi, which has made fine porcelains for 350 years for the Imperial Household, having been the first kiln family to receive the Imperial order to make household dinner ware in 1750. Ringed, shallow-footed base. 3” (7.6 cm) diameter. 3” (7.6 cm) high. Meiji/Taisho period.
