Description
Set of three, thinly-potted rice bowls, the interiors of exquisite, unadorned white porcelain, the sides tapering to only 1mm in thickness. Exterior blue-underglaze designs including the Imperial 24 petaled chrysanthemum crest (Kikumon). Crafted for the Imperial Family by the prestigious Arita family, Tsuji Hitachi, which has made fine porcelains for 350 years for the Imperial Household, having been the first kiln family to receive the Imperial order to make household dinner ware in 1750.
